Our Mission and Values
Our mission is to empower students to own their education by developing the academic and social skills to succeed in school and beyond. We accomplish this mission by providing high-quality summer and after-school programming. Our vision is to build generations of students who become college-and career-ready graduates and productive citizens of our community.
Our History
In July 2017, Dream Center Academy launched its out-of-school-time programming, welcoming its inaugural class of rising 6th-graders. Each subsequent year, we have expanded our program by introducing a new sixth-grade class and progressing to the next grade level.
DCA students are identified as students with great academic and social potential; however, like many of us, they face factors that could hinder them from reaching their full potential. With this understanding, we intentionally designed our program to support and guide our students along their journey from 6th grade to high school graduation.
It would take seven years to build our program to capacity.
Our Present
In the 2025-26 academic year, Dream Center Academy has successfully established itself and now serves a total of 204 scholars, including 89 middle school students, 74 high school students, and 41 graduates. Our first two graduating cohorts have achieved a remarkable 100% graduation rate, with 85% of graduates pursuing post-secondary education. Specifically, 30 graduates are working towards college degrees, 5 are seeking trade certifications, and 6 have entered the workforce to gain on-the-job training. Among these two graduating classes, 19 DCA students have been awarded scholarships totaling nearly $200,000.
Dream Center Academy is incredibly proud of each of our graduates. We will continue to mentor them as they embark on the next phase of their journeys, and we look forward to witnessing their future accomplishments.
As we enter Year 9, we are excited about our ongoing expansion and the promising future that lies ahead for the DCA community.
