DCA Middle School Program
Summer programming operates Monday – Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm including breakfast, lunch, and snack. Morning classes focus on language arts, math, science, and social studies, and afternoon classes provide enrichment clubs. Each grade engages in two field trips and one college tour during Summer Academy, visiting a different NC college annually.
Afterschool programming operates Monday – Thursday from 3:15-6:15pm. Each day includes healthy snacks, recreation, grade-level community meetings, homework support, academic tutoring or enrichment clubs, and team time. Throughout the school year, students participate in field trips, service projects, and character development sessions.
DCA’s middle school program serves students from the summer before they enter middle school through their summer before entering high school. Once students enter high school, our high-school programming begins.
